About Sub-zero treatment
Gravure printing is a type of intaglio printing that forms microscopic depressions (cells) of varying depths on the surface of the printing plate. By transferring ink according to the depth of these cells, it reproduces rich tonal gradations and high-definition images. The printing plate is usually created on a copper-plated cylinder by mechanical engraving, laser engraving, or etching. In the printing process, after applying ink to the entire plate, a doctor blade scrapes off excess ink from the plate surface, and the ink remaining in the cells is transferred to the substrate by an impression cylinder. It is mainly used for high-quality printed materials produced in large quantities, such as flexible packaging materials for food and daily necessities, building decorative materials, wallpaper, magazines, and securities. Due to the use of durable plates, it is suitable for continuous printing of long runs and multi-color prints.
