Melamine coating is a thermosetting coating that uses paint primarily composed of melamine resin. Its greatest features are the excellent hardness, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and beautiful glossy finish of the coating film. Due to these properties, it is widely adopted for products requiring high durability and design aesthetics, such as furniture tops and doors, building materials, exteriors of electrical appliances, and automotive parts. As for the processing method, after application using spray coating or roll coater, etc., a strong coating film is formed by baking and drying at a high temperature of approximately 120-180°C. The appropriateness of the surface preparation greatly influences the quality of the finish.
