About Dacrotizing
Baking treatment (hydrogen embrittlement treatment) is a heat treatment performed to remove or reduce hydrogen embrittlement that occurs in metal materials, especially high-strength steel. Hydrogen that has entered the material during processes such as electroplating and pickling can cause serious quality problems such as delayed fracture. This treatment prevents embrittlement by heating the material for a long time at a relatively low temperature, typically around 150-250°C, which causes the infiltrated hydrogen to diffuse out and be released from within the material. It is an essential process for ensuring the quality of parts that require high reliability, such as automotive components, aircraft parts, high-strength bolts, and springs. Appropriate temperature and time management, depending on the material properties and the amount of hydrogen ingress, is crucial.
