About Electrocasting
Tin-zinc alloy plating (rack) is a processing method in which a tin-zinc co-deposited alloy plating is applied by suspending products on jigs (racks) for electrolytic treatment. This plating is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, especially high performance in salt spray tests, as well as good solderability and low contact resistance due to the properties of tin. It is widely adopted in fields requiring high reliability and functionality, such as automotive electrical components, brake components, and connectors and terminals for electrical and electronic equipment. The rack method offers the advantage of easily ensuring uniform film thickness and appearance quality for complex shapes and large parts, while also suppressing damage to the product. Post-treatments such as trivalent chromate treatment and topcoats can be applied to further enhance corrosion resistance and add functionality.
