Centrifugal casting is a casting method in which molten metal is poured into a rapidly rotating mold, and centrifugal force presses the metal against the inner wall of the mold to solidify it. The greatest feature of this method is that it produces products with a dense and homogeneous structure, having few internal cavities or inclusions. Because lighter impurities and gases in the molten metal gather on the inner side, the outer periphery forms a high-quality structure, making it suitable for parts requiring high strength, high airtightness, and wear resistance. Representative processing methods include horizontal and vertical types, which are selected based on the product's shape and size. Its main applications are in the manufacturing of cylindrical or tubular parts such as pipes, cylinder liners, rolls, and bushes, and it is applicable to a wide range of materials including steel and non-ferrous metals.
