Low-pressure casting is a casting method that applies low-pressure gas (typically 0.02-0.06 MPa) to the molten metal in a sealed holding furnace, slowly filling the mold or sand mold cavity through a riser tube. This method suppresses oxidation and entrapped gas in the molten metal, enabling the production of high-quality, dense castings. Its features include high dimensional accuracy, excellent mechanical properties, suitability for thin-walled and complex shapes, and high yield. It is widely used for manufacturing products requiring high reliability, such as automotive parts (aluminum wheels, cylinder heads, engine blocks), aerospace components, and industrial machinery parts. In particular, low-pressure casting using permanent molds excels in balancing mass production and quality.
