Vacuum casting is a manufacturing method that uses a silicone mold made from a master model to cast liquid resin under a vacuum environment. This process minimizes the inclusion of air bubbles to the utmost extent, yielding high-precision molded products that faithfully reproduce the shape and surface condition of the master model. Its main applications are small-volume production items where injection molding is not cost-effective, and the manufacturing of prototypes for design and functional verification. Primarily using urethane resin, it can replicate various resins with different physical properties such as ABS, PP, and elastomer, and can accommodate parts with complex shapes and undercuts.
