About Bending
Bending is a processing technology that plastically deforms materials such as metal sheets and bars, forming them into specific angles or R-shapes. It primarily includes V-bending, U-bending, Z-bending, roll bending, and pipe bending, utilizing press brakes (bending machines). Force is applied to the material using dies and punches to impart permanent deformation. It is essential for the manufacturing of a wide range of products, including enclosures, chassis, pipes, and structural components. Processing accuracy largely depends on die design, material ductility and yield point, and the prediction and compensation of springback. For high-precision product manufacturing, appropriate management of these factors is required.
