About Projection welding
Infrared welding is a technology that joins thermoplastic resins by non-contact heating and melting them using infrared energy as a heat source, and then pressing them together. Its features include non-contact heating, which minimizes the risk of contamination or damage to the workpiece, and the ability to precisely control heating temperature and time. Typical methods include "transmission welding," where one material transmits infrared light and the other absorbs it to heat the interface, and "absorption welding," where both materials directly absorb the infrared light. It is widely used for joining products requiring airtightness and aesthetic quality, such as lamp housings and interiors of automotive parts, medical devices, and casings of home appliances. It produces few burrs and fumes and contributes to reducing environmental impact.
