About High-frequency welding
Hot plate welding is a primary welding technology used for joining thermoplastic resin parts. A heated hot plate (heater plate) is brought into contact with or close to the joint surfaces to soften the resin. Then, the hot plate is retracted, and the parts are pressed together and cooled, achieving a strong joint. This method is suitable for airtight and watertight joining of complex-shaped parts and large parts, and is widely adopted in automotive components (intake manifolds, fuel tanks), home appliances, and medical devices. Although the generation of weld flash and cycle time can sometimes be challenges, it is characterized by its ability to achieve stable quality with relatively inexpensive equipment.
