About Brazing
Arc welding is a processing method that utilizes the thermal energy of an arc discharge generated between an electrode and a base metal to melt and join metals. The high-temperature arc melts the base metal and, if necessary, filler material (welding rod or wire) to form a molten pool, which then solidifies to create a strong joint. To prevent oxidation and nitridation from the atmosphere, the molten area is protected by a flux coating or shielding gas. Representative welding methods include shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), TIG welding, and MIG/MAG welding, which are selected based on the material to be welded, desired weld quality, and workability. It is widely used as an indispensable foundational technology for assembling and repairing metal structures in a wide range of industrial fields where high joint strength and reliability are required, such as construction, bridges, shipbuilding, automobiles, and various plants.
