About Vacuum components manufacturing
Vacuum component processing is a specialized manufacturing technology for producing components used in high vacuum to ultra-high vacuum (UHV) environments. Minimizing outgassing to the utmost extent and ensuring high airtightness and cleanliness are the most critical requirements. Therefore, low outgassing materials such as SUS304L/316L, aluminum alloys, and ceramics are selected, and high-precision cutting and grinding are performed. For joining, TIG welding and electron beam welding are used, and the airtightness of the welded parts is strictly controlled. Furthermore, surface treatment by electropolishing and precision cleaning, and strict leak tests using helium leak detectors are indispensable. This is an important technology that supports the foundation of cutting-edge industries such as semiconductor and FPD manufacturing equipment, analytical instruments, and accelerators.
