Light guide plate mold manufacturing is a technology for forming with high precision fine patterns that determine the optical characteristics of light guide plates used in LCD displays, LED lighting, etc., on the mold surface. In order to accurately transfer sub-micron order fine shapes and high aspect ratio patterns to resin, molds require extremely high surface quality, shape accuracy, and durability. Representative processing methods include ultra-precision cutting, grinding, and electrical discharge machining, as well as fine pattern formation by laser processing and etching, and mirror finishing by lapping and polishing. Surface treatment to improve mold release properties and wear resistance is also indispensable, and manufacturing is carried out under a strict quality control system.
