About Thermoset resin die
Rotational molds, slush molds, and dip molds are molds that manufacture resin products using different principles. Rotational molds are used to form hollow products by heating and multi-axially rotating powdered resin, and are applied to large tanks, containers, and the like. Aluminum cast molds and sheet metal molds are common. Slush molds produce products with complex shapes, such as automotive interior skin materials, by bringing powdered resin into contact with a heated mold to form a thin resin layer on the surface. Nickel electroformed molds are frequently used. Dip molds are used to form thin-walled, flexible products (gloves, grips, etc.) by immersing a heated mandrel in liquid resin, and metal mandrels are common. For these, the design of the mold and the selection of materials according to the product's characteristics are important.
