About Hot-dipped steel plate
Hot-dip coated steel sheets are materials formed by immersing steel sheets in a molten metal bath to create a coating layer on their surface. Representative examples include hot-dip galvanized steel sheets (GI) and hot-dip zinc-aluminum alloy coated steel sheets (such as Galvalume steel sheets), with properties varying depending on the type of coating metal. This coating layer imparts excellent rust prevention and corrosion resistance (through sacrificial protection and barrier effect) to the steel sheet, contributing to the protection of the base material. Due to its high adhesion and excellent workability (pressing, bending, deep drawing), it is utilized in a wide range of fields such as automotive parts, building materials, home appliances, and industrial machinery. The composition and thickness of the coating layer significantly influence the corrosion resistance, weldability, paintability, and other workability aspects in subsequent processes, as well as the performance of the final product.
