Plastic magnet molding is a processing method that integrally molds a composite material of plastic resin and magnetic powder (plastimagnet material) using plastic molding technologies such as injection molding and compression molding. This allows for the manufacturing of complex-shaped magnet components with high dimensional accuracy. Compared to metal magnets, it offers superior lightweighting, thinner walls, and corrosion resistance, and its high degree of design freedom contributes to reducing post-processing and the number of parts. Key applications include rotors and stators for small motors, magnets for various sensors, actuators, and magnetic encoders. It is adopted in a wide range of fields such as automobiles, home appliances, office automation equipment, and medical devices. In particular, injection molding is suitable for high-precision mass production and also enables the manufacturing of anisotropic magnets.
