About Model designing
Model design is the process of designing models in the early stages of product development in manufacturing to embody and verify the shape, structure, function, and appearance of actual products. Its main applications include design reviews, evaluation of functionality and assemblability, presentations, final confirmation before mold production, and wind tunnel experiments, among many others. Design primarily involves creating digital models using 3D CAD software and then producing physical models based on that data. Typical manufacturing methods include 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS), CNC machining, vacuum forming, or manual processing (clay, resin). This allows for early detection of design issues, reduces rework, and significantly contributes to shortening development time and improving quality.
