About Laser / turret punch
Laser/turret punch refers to the primary cutting and punching technologies in sheet metal processing. Laser processing machines use high-power laser beams to melt and evaporate materials for cutting and punching without contact. They are capable of high-precision and complex shape processing and can handle a wide range of materials, from metals to non-metals, making them strong for prototyping, high-mix low-volume production, and precision component manufacturing. Representative types include CO2 lasers and fiber lasers. On the other hand, turret punch presses (turret punches) are machines that perform punching by rotating a turret loaded with multiple dies, using hydraulic or servo motors. They are fast and cost-effective, excelling in mass production for standard punching, as well as forming processes like embossing and burring. These technologies are chosen based on the processing content, material, sheet thickness, and production volume. In recent years, combined laser and turret punch machines have also become widespread.
