About Blast machine
A blast machine is a surface treatment equipment that sprays abrasive material (media) onto a target object at high speed to perform surface cleaning, roughening, stress relief, and other processes. Its main functions include the removal of rust, scale, and old paint films from metal parts, surface preparation to improve adhesion for painting and plating, mold cleaning, and shot peening to enhance the fatigue strength of parts. Blasting methods include air blasting using compressed air, shot blasting which projects media with an impeller, and wet blasting which sprays a mixture of water and media. The optimal method is selected depending on the application, material, and shape of the object. Typical equipment includes manually operated cabinet types, conveyor types for continuous processing, and tumbler types for small parts.
