About Key groove processing machine
A keyseating machine is a specialized machine tool used to machine grooves (keyways) in parts such as shafts and bosses, for fitting keys for power transmission. It performs an essential process to prevent relative rotation between shafts and hubs and to reliably transmit torque. Main machining methods include slotters (vertical shapers) that cut with a tool bit reciprocating vertically, broaching machines that achieve high precision and efficiency by pulling or pushing a specialized multi-toothed tool in one direction, and keyway milling machines that use rotary tools. They are widely used in the manufacturing of power transmission components such as gears, pulleys, and couplings for automotive parts, industrial machinery, and construction machinery, and are seeing advancements in high precision and automation through NC control.
