Robot arm for product gripping
Using robotic arms for picking and sorting products is an effective and common automation application that helps accelerate production processes and reduce labor costs.
What are product picking robotic arms used for?
Robotic arms consist of the following components: Controller, Manipulator, Robot Grippers, sensor system, and drives.
Depending on the type of product being processed and the needs of the manufacturing enterprise, here are some common applications for product picking robotic arms:
+ Assembly: Using robotic arms to pick a component (part...) from one conveyor belt, then place it onto another component (part...), and after assembly into a unit, the robot transfers the unit to another conveyor belt.
+ Packaging: Similar to assembly, instead of assembling components (parts), the robotic arm places products into containers; these operations are typically handled by product picking robots at high speeds.
+ Bin Picking: By equipping with high-tech recognition sensors, robots can pick components, products from bins (even when there are multiple types of products in the bin), then place the products onto a conveyor belt for subsequent stages.
+ Inspection: With the integration of a product inspection system (Vision system), robotic arms quickly inspect and detect defective products moving on the conveyor belt at high speeds.
