Representative Greeting
Vietnam has a population of approximately 99 million, with about 65% of its people under the age of 35. It is a country with a young and abundant workforce, lower labor costs compared to Japan, China, and Thailand, a large number of engineering graduates, and many individuals passionate about manufacturing. Workers are said to be diligent and highly motivated. The political situation and public safety are stable. Both the Vietnamese government and its people are pro-Japanese, fostering active cultural exchange and trade. Furthermore, its membership in the WTO, FTA, and CPTPP has made it an attractive and promising destination for investment and outsourcing.
After graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, I decided to study in Japan. Upon returning to Vietnam, I started a business with five people in 2010 and established an overseas BPO company (outsourcing) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, specializing in CAD-related services for the Japanese market, including CAD drawing creation and design support. Initially, we started with drawing tracing, 3D modeling, and parts breakdown, and later expanded to undertake mechanical design and electrical design drafting. Currently, we also handle parts machining and equipment manufacturing contracts, offering proposals for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
99% of our clients are Japanese companies. Thanks to their support, we have now achieved business relationships with 135 Japanese companies, trained approximately 252 design engineers, and have over 500 employees in total, including 220 in manufacturing and HR. We have contributed significantly to our Japanese clients and received excellent evaluations.
In addition to outsourcing, we also offer services for establishing and managing design teams (exclusive contracts) at our company for our clients. We can discuss and arrange a managed team at our company, structured and organized as if they were your own dedicated design staff.
Furthermore, beyond contract work, 32 of our design engineers are currently residing in Japan on technical visas, supporting design work and undergoing training for 1, 2, or 3 years. After returning to Vietnam, they sign contracts as dedicated employees with those Japanese companies, further training several junior colleagues to establish dedicated teams and build long-term design support systems.
IDEA Group is also a pioneer as the first local Vietnamese company in the CAD-related services industry to take on the challenge of doing business with Japan, where Q-C-D (Quality, Cost, Delivery) are strictly demanded. Our executives have experience studying in Japan, are graduates of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (a university of the caliber of the University of Tokyo), or have experience working at Japanese companies. Our designers are graduates of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology or the University of Technical Education, and they are diligent, highly motivated, and very eager to learn. Beyond mere drafting and tracing, we also assist our Japanese clients daily with their design work, understanding machinery and utilizing Japanese catalogs and JIS handbooks. We strive for a system of low cost, immediate delivery, and high quality, providing comprehensive support to our clients. We accept new engineering graduates, teaching them how to read and write JIS drawings, and how to use CAD efficiently. Despite various challenges, we have achieved excellent results.
Currently, we have an integrated production system covering mechanical design drafting, electrical design drafting, processing, manufacturing, assembly, wiring, on-site installation, and maintenance. We have contributed significantly to the Japanese, American, Thai, and Vietnamese markets and have received excellent evaluations. Moving forward, we aim to build an environment for long-term relationships as deep partners, not just as outsourced vendors.
By entrusting the hardware aspects to our company, clients can concentrate on sales activities, idea proposals, conceptualization, and other higher-value-added businesses, thereby achieving efficiency, cost reduction, and increased profits. Among our clients who have entrusted us with time-consuming tasks and focused on sales and high-level technology, some have overcome challenges such as the Lehman Shock and a shortage of design personnel, achieving record-high sales.
With the spread of the internet, it is now possible to work online even internationally. There are no communication issues in Japanese via email, Teams, or video conferencing. If you are looking for a partner for outsourcing or offshore development (overseas BPO services), please consider using our services.
We hope to build a long-lasting relationship based on mutual prosperity.
Thank you very much.
