Complex Shape Extrusion (PP and Elastomer)
Two-color co-extrusion technology allows for the creation of products with complex shapes and special cross-sections. At Akebono Kasei Vietnam, we have successfully applied extrusion techniques even for products with challenging cross-sections.
In the example below, two types of materials, PP (rigid) and Elastomer (soft), are co-extruded simultaneously, ensuring both durability and flexibility for the product.
The ability to produce such complex products is due to our proactive approach in manufacturing extrusion dies. For products with particularly challenging shapes, Akebono Vietnam collaborates with its headquarters in Japan to provide optimal technical solutions.
Technical Specifications
Method: Simultaneous Two-Color Co-extrusion
Materials: Combination of PP and Elastomer in the same product (optimizing both durability and flexibility)
Supported Shapes: U-shaped, L-shaped, multi-layered curves, hollow, complex, and other special cross-sections
Dies: In-house design and manufacturing (challenging dies developed in collaboration with Japan)
Profile extrusion requires unique expertise in die design. Thanks to our capability in manufacturing extrusion dies, we can meet customer requirements in a short timeframe, even for products with complex cross-sections.
