About Glass mold
Glass molds are tools used to form molten glass into a predetermined shape. They are exposed to high temperatures ranging from several hundred to over a thousand degrees Celsius, making high-precision design that accounts for the thermal expansion and contraction of glass indispensable. Their main applications are diverse, including glass containers such as beverage bottles and pharmaceutical containers, optical lenses, display substrates, and architectural glass. Heat-resistant alloy steel and cast iron are used as mold materials, and precise shapes are created through CNC machining. The surfaces are polished to ensure smoothness, and surface treatments such as nitriding and DLC coating are applied to improve heat resistance, wear resistance, and mold release properties, thereby ensuring product quality and production efficiency.
